Get Community, Inc respects your privacy, and we are committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy. This policy describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide when you interact with and use our Selfie Station (SASS) and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting and disclosing that information.
This policy applies to information we collect through SASS during events. This policy does not apply to any third party or information collected by any third party.
What and how we collect information
We collect information from you when you choose to text or email a photo or video to yourself during an event. When using SASS in this way you will be asked to enter personal information including: your email address and/or phone number. You may, however, use SASS anonymously.
When you use SASS, (whether by registering or anonymously), photos and videos are automatically saved to a hard drive, and/or into the cloud.
How we use your information
Any of the information we collect from you may be used in one of the following ways: to personalize your experience at an event; to provide you with the information you request; and to improve customer service. The email address and/or phone number you provided, as well as the photo(s) and video(s) taken will be turned over to the third party that contracted SASS for their event. Get Community will not use your email address or phone number to send you information or updates about Get Community.
Disclosure of your information
We do not sell, trade or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information, except that we may disclose your personally identifiable information under the following limited circumstances:
- To trusted third parties who assist us in operating or servicing SASS, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential;
- To comply with any law, court order or legal process, including to responding to any government or regulatory request;
- To enforce our site policies, or protect our or others’ rights, property or safety; and
- To a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution or other sale or transfer of some or all of the Company’s assets.
However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.
Under no circumstances do we collect any personal data revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs.
Statistical Information About Your Visit
Information obtained while using SASS does not identify you personally but rather records information provided by you. We may monitor statistics such as how many people used SASS, and how many people texted, emailed, Facebooked, or Tweeted photos.
Use of SASS at any event represents your consent for Get Community and the third party that contracted SASS for their event to use the photography and its/their release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction to be used for news, webcasts, promotional purposes, telecasts, advertising, inclusion on websites, social media, or any other purpose. Photos and/or videos may be used to promote similar SASS events in the future, highlight the event, and exhibit the capabilities of SASS. You release Get Community and the third party that contracted SASS, its officers and employees, and each and all persons involved from any liability connected with the taking, recording, digitizing, or publication and use of photographs and video recordings. By entering the event premises and using SASS, you waive all rights you may have to any claims for payment or royalties in connection with any use, exhibition, streaming, webcasting, televising, or other publication of these materials, regardless of the purpose or sponsoring of such use, exhibiting, broadcasting, webcasting, or other publication irrespective of whether a fee for admission or sponsorship is charged. You also waive any right to inspect or approve any photo or video recording taken by SASS or the person or entity designated to do so by Get Community.
